By finishing 7th in the 2016-17 Premier League, Everton qualified for the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League - but were
required to enter at the 3rd Qualifying Round stage.

They were drawn against MFK Ružomberok of Slovakia with the tie played in July and August 2017.

Everton won the tie 2-1 on aggregate (1-0 in both the home and away legs) and were the then drawn against
Croatia's Hajduk Split in the Play-Off round, with the matches played on the 17th and 24th August.
Everton won the tie 3-1 on aggregate and progressed to the Group Stage.

48 teams were drawn into 12 groups of 4 teams, facing each other home and away, with Everton drawn in Group E.  The
top two sides in each group would join the 8 third-placed sides from the Champions League group stage in the Round of 32.
