The 1939/40 Football League was abandoned after 3 games when World War II broke out.
It was replaced with regional leagues - and in 1939/40 Everton played in the Western Division.
The normal FA Cup competition was suspended and in 1939/40 teams competed in a national Football League War Cup instead.
Match, appearance and goal statistics are not counted in any official records.
