Everton's Record in 1884-85

<< 1883-84                                    Click here for Appearances and Goals and Cup Final Details                                   1885-86 >>

Everton were founder members of the Football League, which began in 1888/89, and began
playing FA Cup matches a season earlier in 1887/88.
Aside from the 1887/88 FA Cup, prior to 1888/89 the club participated only in Friendly matches and local Cup competitions.
Details are inevitably sketchy and incomplete.
The stats for the pre-Football League era are as complete as can be but, given the
passage of time and the incomplete information available, there will inevitably be errors and omissions.
Match, appearance and goal statistics are not counted in any official records.
